How does TraiLink work?

TraiLink creates a mesh network using LORA communication technology to allow you to remain connected with your group members even without a cellular or wifi connection.

What is the range between devices?

The point to point range between TraiLink devices can vary significantly depending on terrain. You can typically expect between 1 and 4 KM of range between group members. Because TraiLink creates a mesh network, each group member can be 1 to 4 KM from the next creating a total range that is much larger.

How do I join a group?

Users can make their group joinable by tapping the share button on their group. Your TraiLink device will automatically detect nearby groups available to join and display them to you.

How do I update my TraiLink device’s firmware?

Firmware update files can be found on our website for download to your device. Once downloaded, you can navigate to the update page of the TraiLink app (device settings > update firmware) and follow the instructions on screen. Updating the device will take approximately 7 minutes.
